Privacy Policy
Soniclyze ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application and web services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier provided by Apple. We do not receive your email address, name, or other personal details unless you explicitly choose to share them.
Measurement Data
Acoustic measurement data (sound pressure levels, frequency analysis, and related metrics) is collected only when you actively perform a measurement. This data is stored on your device and uploaded to our servers only when you choose to publish a report.
Device Information
Published reports include device model, iOS version, and microphone type to provide context for measurement accuracy and reproducibility.
Location Data
Location information is included in reports only if you grant location permission and choose to include it. Location precision (precise or coarse) is configurable.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide acoustic measurement and report services
- To generate verifiable, tamper-proof reports with cryptographic signatures
- To enable public verification of report authenticity
- To generate and manage secure sharing tokens
- To maintain service security and prevent abuse
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure using D1 (database), KV (caching), and R2 (file storage). All data is encrypted in transit via TLS. Report integrity is ensured through HMAC-SHA256 server signatures.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Published reports are accessible via their public verification URL. Shared reports are accessible only through single-use, time-limited share tokens. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Data Retention
Measurement reports are retained until you revoke them. Revoked reports are marked as such but may be retained for audit purposes. Account data is retained while your account is active.
6. Your Rights
You can revoke any published report at any time through the app. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
7. Third-Party Services
- Apple Sign In — Authentication only; we receive a unique identifier
- Cloudflare — Infrastructure provider for hosting, database, and CDN
